Peppermint and Lemon pt.1

I have used vinegar to clean my wood floors, wood table, and counter tops for years.

Whenever I clean, my Husband complains that it smells like dirty feet. Even though that stinky smell dissipates, I knew we needed something else in there to help! In the past I used Lavender oil, because it smells pretty.

I had learned that Lemon oil had purifying properties, and I added Peppermint because mice don't like it (ahem, another problem that peppermint oil has helped with...). I decided to add both to my vinegar cleaning solution.

I filled this 32 oz glass bottle with equal halves water and white vinegar (Costco!), then added 20-30 drops Peppermint oil, and 10-20 drops Lemon oil

My friend recommended using a glass bottle because the oils can pull out contaminates in plastic ones (who knew?). How have you used Lemon and Peppermint oils?

About Lemon: It comes from the peel, and has air purifying properties. It also just smells clean!

About Peppermint: It is a lovely mint that has antibacterial AND antiviral properties. Hurray!

My kitchen smells great.
