Today was our weekly family lunch with my side. My family loves food. LOVES food. My mother re-imagines recipes she tastes at restaurants, and creates recipes that are amazing. My brother possesses quite the culinary expertise, my sister bakes delicious confections, and my father and I express appreciation for all these creations by eating them. Now that we have added spouses and children, the dinner table is a bit more chaotic, but the fare is just as fabulous.
For Mom's birthday this afternoon, my sister made this amazing curry and chicken dish.
My Handsome Man is not the biggest fan of curry, so I don't use it too much in our meals at home. As a result, my kids aren't used to it...
About ten minutes after our sumptuous meal concluded, the combination of curry and sparkling cider was too much for my son's stomach. He came out to me complaining, holding his stomach, and wielding a bottle of DigestZen from his Auntie. First, I suggested drinking some water.
After drinking some water he was still complaining that he was in pain, so I applied the DigestZen topically over his entire stomach. I poured about 2-3 drops on my finger, and rubbed it directly, undiluted, over his lower torso. Then I instructed him to lay down for a few minutes.
That was all it took! Around five minutes later, he was his normal energetic self, with nothing to complain of. I might have to get some of that stuff!
About DigestZen: It is a blend of Ginger, Peppermint, Tarragon, Fennel, Caraway, Coriander, and Anise. Almost all of these have digestive benefits. Had we been home, I probably would have tried Peppermint oil alone first, in the same way, but with diluted with Coconut oil (it can Sting!)...
